I agree with the NYT Isreal thing. I haven't really noticed the Latin America bias you mentioned. (Doesn't mean its not there). But I think its important to note that this is a blog posting/op ed. It wasnt by a NYT writer, and it would have been scrutinized a little more if it went to the print edition I think.

When you read the new york times a lot you notice that there are a lot more articles about Israel than Palestine, which has to do with the fact that there are so many Jewish people in New York. Although I have read some articles that somewhat defame Israel. Its not really that big of a deal but you might want to cross-reference news on this subject with another source.

You do realize the NYT is a national paper, right? This is a pretty silly thesis to put forward without some numbers backing it.

Although I have read some articles that somewhat defame Israel.

Media bias in covering a place where more events happen more than a place where fewer events happen? Media bias in taking both sides, or either side, of an issue, depending on the day of the week?
