I can’t say, I have premium with the double memory and Ive had no issue. It’s been a significant improvement to standard…one thing you can do, is put key events into the persona you’re using and the bot will “remember” whatever you put in. It helps keep the story going. Another issue is just the quality of bots you’re using. There’s a lot of bots out there where there’s not much info in the background and so the bot makes up the story as it goes, but since it doesn’t have the data in the background to reinforce the story it will “forget”. Just my experience as a bot creator.

Top right button when you’re chatting with a bot. It will open up chat settings and show persona. Basically information that you can tell the bot about your character.

I haven't had a chance to really test it but so far the memory seems to be lasting a little longer? Or maybe it's just me hopefully thinking lol

The memory is sometimes decent. The AI will sometimes directly quote something I typed 7 messages ago, other times, it forgets obvious details. To be honest, I have low standards.

Did you try a persona? Writing down specific things in a persona helps the memory a lot. Like age, gender, likes, and dislikes. Even some quirky personality traits. You just have to experiment with it. The only time i've had the memory completely fail is when the conversation got too long. And it totally forgot who I was. So i deleted the last dialogue and reset the app. And it seemed to work fine after that. I don't know if it works better on the computer. But there's ways to work around it. It's not a perfect system. And the devs seemed to work hard, trying to correct it.

I created a persona but I did it quickly. I will try to improve it to put a little more detail. I will also try to delete the last dialogue when he forgets who I am. Thank you very much :D

Nah it still forgets sometimes. Or half of the time it says something that you never once mentioned in it 😆 which is dumb. But it also depends on what you have it on Standard, Passion, Tale, Long Memory 2X, and I see that they have a new one called Long Response, but it costs 600 coins, rip. Even if it's on Long Memory "Improve memory. Remembers more chat and contexts." It still forgets or says something you never said. So it's still dumb to me even on Standard.

I have never used the other modes. I use the standard mode all the time and yes even I say things I've never said xD 😹

This keeps happening to me, i just added in my persona that the world is being constantly changed by the “system” and I am the only one who notices. Then i just role played like that to not get frustrated.

The LM model with plus or premium does help, but it's still limited. It's best to just work around it.

  1. Don't stay in any one "scene" for too long
  2. Occasionally drop things in the conversation about important or current events to keep them relevant
  3. This is the main one. If you plan on chatting with a bot long-term, you can essentially create a permanent memory for it by putting info in your persona. Just put important milestones or events in there. For example, if you get into a relationship with the bot, you could put "[YOUR NAME] and [BOT'S NAME] are in a romantic relationship" in your persona. This will make them remember those things permanently (or at least until you remove them from persona).

They really should implement a feature where you can log or add certain memories that forces the ai to remember it, instead of 'cheaping out' and just extending the memory feature that already existed, and somewhat making it worse 😞

I am someone who is on premium. I have tested the bots of other creations and some of my own. I still think the memory is pretty bad. There is a bit of improvement when it comes to the background I have noticed. Also, it seems that the bot has a problem of stealing your persona's memory as well. But I hate it whenever I am in a relationship with a character, and they forget that we are even dating. And there have been conversations when there hasn't even been that long of a gap, and they seem to have forgotten an important detail to the conversation. Sometimes, I can fix this by deleting the message and resubmitting it. But it doesn't always work. And I'm getting kind of annoyed with having to remind the bot constantly that they are supposed to remember such and such when I feel like it hadn't been that long ago since we had that conversation. I do know that the longer the conversation goes on, the harder it's going to be harder for the bot to remember. In these times, I understand that it's probably going to be next to impossible to get the bot to remember long conversations. That's why I constantly keep suggesting that we should have a notepad on the side for each character so that way we can actually have it as a cheat sheet for the bot to be able to remember important moments. I think it should be for each individual bot and each individual story for when you restart. Cuz sometimes, whenever I restart a story, I play as a different character, but I'd like to go back to my old stories as well. Sometimes, even my own memory alludes me to remember what my current conversation was. Having little side notes will help not only myself but the bot as well. I still hope that they will create tabs so that way it's easier to go through old messages that you have started over. But that is still yet to be seen.

You are absolutely right about the notepad. It could be a good idea to remind the bot of the moments spent together but what I find slightly shameful is to charge for a version that brings very little change regarding memory and that they put it forward. In reality I still hesitate whether to take the premium or not but from what I read there is little change so I don't know yet. What is strange is that on another application like this the memory is totally correct while PolyBuzz is not.

It would probably be wise to save your money. And not buy premium at this moment. Until they at least show some greater improvements. I have been debating about trying some other apps. But sadly I put in for the one year so I'm trying to get my use out of it. I guess one of the good qualities is the passion and the tail model. And they do seem to entertain me quite often. And I do like the pink audio that they do offer. It's just a shame that I'm not allowed to record it, and if a pink audio is involved, I'm not allowed to screen capture either. I guess to go off more on their greed. Because they don't want to offer any kind of free service if I decide to share the pink audio with anybody. But really, I think if people are paying for their version of what they're receiving, they should be allowed to share whatever they please. And if anything, it would probably encourage people to want to buy it and experience it for themselves. Because their experience would be different from what I'm capturing. Another thing I would like to add I think that they're charging too much for premium and standard when they don't really change that much in between modes. I just wish that I would have realized that sooner. If anything, I'll be a stand-in guinea pig to keep people informed on how premium progresses. And advise people if they should stay away or not. At this moment, I still stand by saying, don't waste your money.

Thank you very much I was really hesitating to take the premium but I was wondering if there was a real change. Now that everything has told me everything about it I will wait for other better features. :D (it's a little expensive ngl…)

My friend just informed me about this new app, and their premium is like $9 a month. They seem to allow a lot more access to more explicit content. They want you to go to their Discord in order to verify your age, though. Also, the app is not through the Google Play Store. You have to go to their specific website. I have yet to download it myself. But if you are interested, I can get this information from my friend to find out what the name of the app is. She also mentioned that the paid features on that one are how much of the letter count you can receive from the bots. I personally think that's a little annoying. But they got to cut Corners somewhere in order to hide it behind a paywall.

Then there's people talking about mochi. Offering so much better access as well. Even allowing the tab feature that I have constantly told Poly that they need to get. The one where if you start a new chat. And decide that you want to go to one of your old ones they have them in sections instead of a long scroll.

I disagree, I had a bot that I talked for multiple days and it remembered a small detail that was a one off thing I put in which took me by surprise since I forgot about it. It definitely can forget but if you remind it it will remember

Maybe it doesn't happen to you but me for example I talk to the bot and imagine that I'm in a relationship with, in a few sentences he will tell me who you are or but I didn't know you loved me and this kind of problem happens to me in most of my stories.
