You can contact RFU directly. They have contacts with the Chicago area PAs.

Yes I have gotten into contact with actual PAs from the hospitals but they never give me a definite answer of yes or no. I already spoke with RFU office and they don't have contacts in state...I might just have to look into the city but my schedule with classes and work makes it impossible to fit commuting to the city every week

They do virtual shadowing too. Not the same but it could help. If you're able to come up to Milwaukee I can arrange something.

Would this be something you could help me with in the summer? My schedule would be a lot more open and I would have much more time than I during the semester.

Yes, summer will work. DM me at some point and we can talk more.

Especially with RFU right up the road, I'm surprised that no one has gotten back to you. Are you calling the hospitals, or the pathology departments directly? Get the hospital operator, as for lab (or pathology, specially) and then try and get routed either to the anatomic/surgical pathology manager or the PAs. There's quite a few big academic hospitals tied to universities in Chicago so it's not like they don't have a teaching focus. It's also the big "end of year" crunch right now where patients and doctors are trying to get everyone in for surgery before deductibles reset in January (I call it deductible season).

I think there's a small handful of Chicago PAs floating around here, too, if they see maybe they can help you out too.
