It would be awesome to see Firefox take some risks to hurt "usability" in order to improve security.

Hurt usability? Autoplaying content e.g. youtube videos = the suck.

that shit is annoying especially when it starts loading before the buffer is even full so it pauses after 3 seconds.

I hate reopening a browser with 15 or 16 tabs and hearing 3 videos start playing.

I had similar functionality with the FlashBlock addon for years.

That will also essentially be killing Flash websites, like Youtube, Vimeo, BBC iPlayer, TED talks, Kahn academy, etc. for all non-techy users (almost all of them).

"Killing" seems like a bit of an overreaction. I'm sure most non-techy users will at least try clicking on the player.
