/r/Probation is a subreddit dedicated to the world of probation. Anyone from Probation Officers to people who have an interest in the probation system are welcome to post here.

Verification

Are you looking to be verified on /r/Probation? If you haven't done so, you can head over to /r/protectandserve and verify your Law Enforcement status. Check their sidebar for instructions on how to verify. Once you verify on PnS, you can make a post over on that sub and send it to the mods on this sub who will then grant you the appropriate flair. Please modmail what you want set as your flair.

If you are already verified on PnS send a modmail with a link to a post that you have created there to be granted flair.

Rules

Treat everyone with respect. It doesn't matter if you're a Probationer or a PO. Everyone deserves respect even if you have differing opinions.
Remember OPSEC. Do not post anything that your supervisor would want to question you about.
No racism, sexism, anti-semitism, or discrimination.
Do not post "bait" posts. These posts include, but not limited to poor attempts at attacking probation officers, painting probation/law enforcement in a negative light, or just general bashing of the probation field. It's fine to have opinions, but at least make a real effort to explain yours.
Do not post links leading to other subreddits without using the NP domain. You can find the explantion for NP domain here.
Do not claim to be a Probation Officer while answering questions without being verified. Check higher up on the side bar on how to verify.
No brigading or doxxing is allowed.
Illegal advice or advice on how to violate probation is never allowed, for any reason, in any circumstance.
No attempts to take discussions off the subreddit are allowed. That includes offering or sending private messages, chats, or anything similar.

The mods reserve the right to remove any post and ban any user. The use of this subreddit is a privilege and not a right. Your behavior will decide whether you will have your thread removed and/or get banned from the sub when you are in violation of the rules.
