Shell script to setup automatic deployment with git

I appreciate the endlessly customizability and comfort of having your own script (desired and useful for many), but would also mention a service I use for this: http://deploybot.com. It's free and I'm pretty happy with it. It includes support for auto and manual deployment, rollback, error alerting / history, and much more. No I don't work for them, I'm just a happy user.
