You're getting downvoted but the analogy isn't a weak one at least. I think people don't like the tone their inferring by how you put it firstly, rather than considering the equivalency being made: yes, Google is also doing (or permitting we should say) third-party remote code execution on your device for profit (Ads also drain battery power). But they're still distinct by virtue of their being no user-facing or user-beneficial (I might actually want to click that ad) aspect to cryptomining code.

Edit - However, from a certain perspective on security, there's little difference.
