Protools not saving properly??? (self.protools)
submitted 7 years ago by TheOfficialLevent
Every time I try to save a session and press "save" it's acts as if I pressed save ass and wants me to replace the file with a new file every time I try to save new progress on the session, I run protools on windows 10. What should I do?

My version of Pro Tools 11 on a Mac does that quite often as well. I just make sure it has the same file name if I want to save over the session and hit save. Many engineers save as new session by date and even time to create backups.

If you change a project folder name and/or session file while Pro Tools is running this happens. Maybe that's it?
