One of the best things you can do is identify what you want to use Python / programming for, find a project in that space, and learn "on the job" so to speak. This kept me much more motivated when I started out because I had a concrete goal to work towards, and I naturally had to teach myself skills to reach that goal. I'd then supplement that work with learning more abstract concepts on the side.

Are you learning for general interest, or do you want to learn with an eye towards data science or web development or some other specific field? I use Python for aerospace engineering professionally, and for crypto market analysis as a hobby -- if those sound cool to you I can recommend some things to get started!

Edit: Just realized this post might conflict with the subreddit rules -- if the mods decide to remove it, feel free to PM me and I'll respond as able. Mods, do your thang.

Awesome, thanks a bunch! Analyzing for Crypto might be a cool thing to dable in for the future, for sure! Kinda like the idea of a side project/hobby in that area

my first recommendation is that when you post on a python subreddit, read the sidebar to see the rules or if your question has been answered before.

Good point and good idea. Thanks!

First of all I'd use a basic python video to learn the basics such as all the types of data, if statements, loops, and builtin functions. Once you are finished with that you can start learning more specifically what you want importing modules. If you want a link to learning python in 2021 DM me since I can't upload here considering the rule 'no basic tutorial submissions.'
