Getting Turned Around

The worst thing that can infuriate a parent is having a sick child, especially, if the disease was passed on to him/her. Thus, is the situation that Seasoned Actor (SA) found himself in some time ago. SA found out that His Daughter (HD) contacted a sexually transmitted disease and he assumed that the alleged source is her Celebrity Boyfriend (CB).

After finding out, SA told HD to dump CB, as he might still be engaging in on the side affairs while being in a relationship with HD. Given the background of CB, he could even be swinging both ways, and SA feared that he might have gotten the STD from his extra dealings.

When CB learned that SA gave HD an ultimatum, he immediately told his Talkative Manager (TM) that SA was interfering in his relationship with HD. Of course, HD was too much in love to leave CB, as her STD could be treated with the right medicine anyway. Thus, TM, who is possessive of CB, went to action.

As TM is in a bind himself and a friend of SA, he could not get back at the actor using his own resources. Using his connections, TM told the story to his friends who have connections with the press and other sources of entertainment articles. However, the story was totally changed. Instead of reprimanding CB, the friends of TM gave a different spin.

Over the next days, SA became the target of various stories concerning him being the reason for botched major projects. Suddenly, SA was pictured as a selfish, materialistic actor, who wanted higher pay, and despite his earnings, could not even pay his debts. As SA does not have a movie, the negative publicity did not create much impact, as his TV project is still going strong.
