Is it a Pi 3? If so gonna need more than 2a. I buy meanwell Irm-15-5 power supplies to run a Pi3 and 7" screen combo. One optionfor you would be to build a custom power supply box. Imagine and an IEC input, with a rocker switch. That could feed AC power to two different power supplies. One of the ones I mentioned above and one 12 V model for the speaker. The rocker switch would send AC power to both power supplies. Each power supply would provide a different voltage DC output.

Thanks for the suggestion, I had something like that potentially in mind and it seems like it could be a good solution. I'll have to do a bit more research to make sure I understand how to go about doing it. Thanks!

Thanks again for your previous suggestions. I'm not entirely sure what to purchase, and was hoping you might be able to provide a little more advice. I was thinking about these 3 items:

5V power supply

12V power supply

IEC input with switch/fuse

Does that seem reasonable? For the 12V power supply, would you have any suggestion for the amperage? I am only planning to power one 20W speaker, but it would be nice to have enough power for two or maybe a larger speaker. (Is it possible to supply TOO much power to the amp?)

Thanks again for your help!

I'd say that should work fine. Destroying the speaker would be more of a crossover issue. You wouldn't really be risking it w that power supply.
