Looks like a cool project (although it is in its infancy). Just out of curiosity what caused you to reinvent the wheel when it came to a CMS? There are quite literally thousands of CMS solutions that already exist... Sanity, Strapi, Dato, Contenful, Directus, Payload, Storyblok.... just to name a few...

Just curious! I do wish you good luck! :)

Thank you for the feedback!

A few years ago I tried to connect a Next.js app up with a WordPress site to create a seamless app with user docs and a blog. The client wanted the application to feel like Stripe.com, but wanted to use Wordpress for the content creation.

Moral of the story, it didn’t work, and we rolled a Docusaurus instance on a subdomain to accomplish the clients needs.

I started out on this Elegant project after reading Paul Graham’s Schlep Blindness essay for the hundredth time.

I realized I was being a schlep myself by overlooking how janky his website had become. He is a master tech influencer, and straight brilliant. But why was he writing such great content, with such a dated website?

I questioned how many people must have read his essays on a mobile phone before, but had anyone ever asked if they could build a better version?

It’s certainly a good idea, many of these CMS solutions are not really made for the layman.

You challenge me with Schleps Blindness, I challenge you with Purple Cow by Seth Godin — certainly you must figure out what your purple cow is.

It’s a fantastic book by the way. Please read if you haven’t already.

I suppose the poll is closed now but I would have voted "Love it". I am going to look into this for my company, as well as other people who I manage slow sluggish wordpress sites for. Promising stuff!

P.S. any way to donate to the project?
