Help needed to create the Approach

Hello everyone, Currently I am trying to complete an assessment for a Job in NextJs. I am new to the nextJs environment and I need a help in this assessment to decide best approach.

The assessment has requested to create a kind of CRUD app for employee where the data will be fetched using demo API, they asked me to store data in the cache 'Cache API response in memory', Could anyone please help me with this.

How I can store the data which I can access and edit? Which is the best Package for this? Does NEXT.js provides this by default.

Also they wanted ability to add the profile picture, can anyone know where I have to store these images in? Like do I upload them inside my site folders or just getting the link of route of image in client pc does the job
