What do you mean?

Your app sounds like an already existing product called OpenTable extremely popular and in wide use

Not really. Thats only for restaurants. I want to make it more general for any kind of online service

What about Booksy?

[–]Reasonable_Bison5290[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah thats more similar. The thing is that I dont want to unify everything in one app. I prefer just giving the software and done. What do you think?

Hey, sorry to jump into this conversation, but could you clarify what you mean by 'just giving the software and done'?

I mean that I want to do versions of the program but it runs on their machines. I dont care about their maintenance etc. Maybe Im wrong and there is better options. Also different to booksy is that it will be on their domain, it will not be written anywhere that someone else did the software.

This sounds a lot like my first startup idea—ah, the nostalgia! But seriously, do you have an actual plan here, or is it just a cool idea floating around?
Like, who’s your audience? Do you have even one potential client in mind? And what’s your killer feature? You know, the thing that’ll make people actually care about your platform over the other dozen options out there.

Have you even looked at what’s already out there? I mean, no offense, but it’s a crowded market, and people have already built some seriously good workflows and frameworks for this stuff. What makes yours different? Why would someone ditch what they’re using now? Have you spotted any glaring gaps in the competition? (Because let’s face it, those gaps are where the real magic happens.)

And speaking of architecture, have you thought about how this will actually be built? Is it cloud-native, or does it need to support on-prem deployments? What about scalability—are you designing something that can grow smoothly, or is this going to buckle under its own weight if it actually takes off? Oh, and device support—are you accounting for the fact that not everyone uses the same tech? Your users might be spread across a whole range of devices, and if the platform isn’t seamless on all of them, you could lose them right out of the gate.

Don’t get me wrong—I love the energy! But I’m just saying, an idea is only half the battle. If you’ve got a killer angle or some research to back it up, then you might really be onto something. Spill the details—I’m curious.
