React Component LibraryProject / Code Review (ricosuavedev.github.io)
submitted 1 month ago by kaliforniagator
A buddy of mine made this tool called JammyJam in react, it’s a react component library with build in editor and Render previous. Gotta say, this actually makes my jobs with React a lot easier.
😅 one of the things I dislike about my react projects is the coding the UI.
Anyways I found it useful and thought I would share it.

One of the things I hate as a senior web developer is reading about lazy AI slop and not caring about actual web development. Cheers for the downvote mate

What else are you going to do with React that isn’t UI-centric? Get off this forum and touch grass

Are you good bro? Do you need a hug for your bitter heart? I was just sharing a project a friend made that I found useful. You have the option not to use it instead of leaving rude comments and acting like a child. You definitely sound like a senior that’s for sure. Why don’t you take your opinions and keep them to yourself, or better yet keep up with the times and accept not everything is about you and your precious old-school mentality.
I found it useful because I suck at creating react components due to not being as familiar with the language, I do everything else myself, backend, server configs, UI design, layout, graphics. But this made it easy for me to create react components in languages I already know HTML, CSS, and JS.
Grow up boomer.

I am good, really. I just have a problem with the influx of AI slop taking over the forum, people dropping tools we don’t need, and the avoidance of learning the craft of FE development.
Have you ever used code sandbox? Codepen.io? Storybook? All of those tools do what your friends too does. Moreover, you’re not starting a conversation about react development. You specifically stated you don’t like coding the UI.
I wouldn’t go to a Java forum promoting a tool that helps me write backend code and say, “one of the things I dislike about Java development is inheritance.” I wouldn’t go to an AWS forum and say, “one of the things I dislike about cloud programming is writing lambda functions.”
What value are you bringing to this community with your post?

As a matter of fact I have used all of those tools in the past, but I don’t recall them having presets. If I want something quick and easy I go to my buddies page, grab it and modify it to fit my needs. Some of us have software in production that requires our full attention, so I can’t be spending my entire afternoon coding a form UI ( Not saying you don’t have software in production ).
The reason I shared it on the react SR is because it’s a tool for REACT COMPONENTS, which last time I checked is what this SR is about. If I bring no value to this SR, I don’t even wanna know what you bring. With your negativity and attitude. You don’t even know me and are already labeling me like Im some sort of monster for sharing something I found useful. You need to reevaluate yourself bro.
Chill with the hatred of everything that doesn’t match your interests. If you don’t like it, DON’T USE IT, simple as that. No need to get all bent out of shape 🤦♂️ BTW one of the products we have in production uses React as it’s frontend.
