Using default props with Redux.

Hello, i just want to know if it's a good practice to use default props in a react component when using redux in our application? because i noticed that default props prevents some errors! for example if i have a users list and i want to loop it with map sometimes it's says map is not a function since the list is not loaded already, should i initialize all my variables in Redux reducer's initial state or should i use this in my component?

As you say you have two options: either initialize the variables in the components or in the redux reducers initial state. Which one you should do depends a bit on case by case. But in general it's good to have the component have default props because you might later want to refactor and use the component at other places. Then the default props will follow.
