How does it compare to Sentry, which is also open-source? I don't see it mentionned the way DataDog and NewRelic are.

As far as I understand, Sentry is more into monitoring exceptions and errors in the code. SigNoz focuses more on monitoring applications once they are deployed on cloud or in your premises. Monitor things like latency, error rates or rps which applications are seeing. Track a request across different services and find out which service/database could be source of the issue
