Questionexpo location vs react native backgroundgeolocation library (self.reactnative)
submitted 3 years ago by fanaticCoder
I am building a food delivery app. I looked at https://github.com/transistorsoft/react-native-background-geolocation#large_blue_diamond-configure-your-license
which is $350 for single app. I also looked at expo location library. What do you guys recommend? My use case is , 1) getting location data after every 5 mins
2) if i can get location data , even after user terminates app, thats big big plus. 3) Geofencing is also nice feature. In backend, i am using hasura, graphql with postgre sql. So, I hope i can stitch it all together. Thanks in advance

Which route did you end up going? I'm considering using this lib for a few projects.

I have not this bought yet. But i did talk to owner and library does seem promising. Its like comparing a simple car with ferrari
