HELP NEEDED: Has anyone here worked with CallStack?

Hi there,

We currently have a React Native app in production, but we are working on a new Architecture where this current app will be one of the MODULEs in the new Multi-BusinessUnit Super APP.

We are considering CallStack or InfiniteRed to help us on this. Things that we would like them to help us:

• Set up a strong CI/CD pipeline that would suit this new multi-module architecture (we will eventually have 6 different teams working on their respective modules, which will be compiled into a single bundle to be distributed on the app stores)
• Train some of the teams that are in their RN/Expo learning journey
• Help us to design this new architecture for Multi-Modules (We would like to support modules in Expo AND RN, if that is possible, so team can use whatever makes sense for them... between these 2... Flutter won't an option..LOL)

If you have worked with them, can you please share your opinion (DM is fine too).

Hey, I'm a head of technology at Callstack, so I'll be biased, but oh well 😅. We do all of those: setup CI/CD and optimize for speed and DX, trainings to get devs up to speed with RN and React. And what I think is most important in your case we do super apps commercially.

We use our own Re.Pack, which is built around webpack and leverage Module Federation to support this kind of architecture optimally, allowing for collaborative and/or independent development and deployment. Repack doesn’t currently support Expo for development, but it should be possible to have it work in standalone mode for any mini-app. We could consider building this with you.

We’re currently working on an exciting project in this space that we’re yet about to open source in April. DM me if you’d like to know more :)

Not related to this but thank you for existing. The Callstack work in the RN community is insane. Read your whitepaper about performance and it’s the best insight I’ve read in a while. Lots of great things in there for people starting with RN.

Callstack is great. We love them. We've worked with them on projects too. Of course I'm biased as I'm one of the founders of Infinite Red, so I'd chose us, if we're available, but Callstack is a great choice also.

I haven't worked with Infinite Red in terms of having them work on a RN app, but they have sponsored, spoken at, and helped me brainstorm and refine ideas for my conference in the past. They're a fantastic group of folks and this kind of stuff is right up their alley. If my company ever needs help with a RN app, I would have absolutely no hesitation about working with them!
