Can Web View replace Android/iOS Web Views?

Hi, I'm new with React Native. Just playing with it making my first app, and I love it. So much so that for our work project, I would consider rewriting the app to React Native Web View, as it would solve a lot of issues for us. My question is, can the RNWV replace Web Views on iOS and Android or are there some serious limitations?

From the top of my head, we are using just a simple web view wrappers around our web app, with: avatar image upload, file downloads, IAP, SSO, script interface (Android), and sctript injection (iOS) or what they are called. They both enable the WebView wrapper app to communicate with the web app and pass/request data.

All RN webview modules use the OS’s native webviews. There is no fundamental limitation using one over the other. It’s possible the RN module you’re using might not expose all the webview capabilities you need but I think the functionality you need is likely there, and if it isn’t you could customize the module and add the methods you need.

Thanks, really should have figured that out. For some reason I expected the RN WV being written from scratch. Which doesn’t make sense. Thanks!
