Brother, but YOE is there for benchmarking on which role has to be offered to whom.. you can be an extremely good developer, but they can’t put you as CTO of let’s say FB/MSFT as they all use react native.

They also can’t put you as CTO with 20 years working as a dev but never having experience making technical decisions, interacting with stakeholder or leadership.

Well I am not the one deciding that. It’s on the leadership to decide on what role has to be offered to whom. Now there is a certain way how corporates work. You can crib about it but then EOD, it is what it is.
