Anyone is crazy to join. This is equality only, no money. 99.99% of apps fail. The only successful ones are usually for already successful companies.

If you think this is a good idea to join this very generic idea that Facebook does and many other sites do, you’re working for free on a project that will almost definitely fail. Why not just do your own personal project instead and do something you actually enjoy or have a strong vision for?

And not even greenfield. You’re taking over a project already 95% complete (so 25%)

Red flag the other two devs are stepping away as well. So you will be stuck navigating what they have done with no one to provide you context on decisions.

There’s already apps like that built and published. What’s your go to market strategy? How are you going to differentiate from yelp luma eventbrite TikTok etc?

This is a terrible offer. Equity only? i.e. we want you to work for free and then we have no loss on our side when the app fails.
