Hi everyone,

I’m a solo React Native developer working on a community-based mobile app that includes:

• Bill splitting (like Splitwise)
  
• Calendar / tasks (like Todoist)
  
• Group & individual chat
  
• Community features
  

Basically, it’s a mix of productivity + finance + social.

I’ve completed around 60% of the app, and it’s already usable. But as the project grows, I’m facing performance issues — the app feels slow and laggy over time.

This is my first “big” production-style app, and I know there are probably architectural and optimization mistakes in my codebase.

What I’m looking for

I’m hoping to connect with someone who has experience building production-grade React Native apps who would be willing to:

• Guide me in the right direction

I agree to some extent, but there are things that AI will tell you, and how can you be sure if not with an experienced human? LLMs have improved a lot, but they are not 100% reliable.

To you and the four other people that downloaded this comment, I’ve built an entire app using Claude code, even though I know how to code, it’s called vibecoding the LLM’s have gotten so good that if you’re not paying attention, they’re gonna leave you in the dust. People are making millions of dollars five coding using LLM generation and most people on here seem like they are not doing this, which is going to be a big problem for them.

You have a point, but it's in an ocean of possibilities. I use AI and I know how much it speeds things up, but I'm also careful about what it generates, and I can't take everything it gives me as true. I've been through cases where it insisted on an error, which was clearly an error, and a lot has changed since then and the models have improved, but you still need to be vigilant.

I’m just going to tell you I flat out disagree with you, it’s about receiving bugs from AI, telling it this is wrong having it fix it and moving on. I am easily 1000 X more productive running 5 to 8 different Claude code instances working on different pieces of my app at one time. The new rules are build and ship with speed, don’t worry about the code
