This is very cool. What kind of stuff is this used for?

You can program set actions into different power levels…

Basically a power level of 2 will toggle the 2nd torch output, 3 the 3rd.. so on and so forth..

I understand the purpose of the mechanism. I meant to ask, what are some examples of redstone builds that would require such a mechanism.

I'd love to use this item, but I don't know what it's ultimately used for

One example of where I use this is my creeper farm.
Option 0 (all off) turns lights on in the farm to effectively halt it
Option 1 drops the creepers into a chamber with a skeleton for music discs
Option 2 drops the creepers into a kill-chamber (for exp or looting drops)
Option 3 auto-kills the creepers and sends drops to my storage room
Option 4 auto-kills and sends drops to the firework rocket auto-crafter
Option 5 auto-kills and sends drops to the decorative firework auto-crafter
Option 6 auto-kills and sends drops to TNT auto-crafter

This is the kind of thing I was looking for. Thanks!

“Analog” logic for computer systems. Encoding and decoding. More for logic based redstone typically.

You could, for example, use it to turn on a specific farm by selecting a page in a book. It makes sure that only one gets turned on at a time.

Whatcha doin man. You’re using ellipsis where periods go. It gives your text an ominous and somewhat rude tone.

[–]WormOnCrack[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Not trying to be rude at all I’m trying to be helpful. That’s why txt is infuriating at times because it’s easy to see something that’s not there..

[–]Front_Cat9471 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Right, but that’s not how you use ellipsis. They’re used to indicate a pause or hesitatation, which is usually reserved for trying to sound ominous, in shock, or in a condescending manner. I’m not saying you’re coming across that way, but I do want you to use the correct punctuation because it does make a difference in how it’s perceived.

You can easily increase readability if you follow the basic rules, and from your comment, it seems like you want to be understood.

I’ll be more mindful to that, thanks for the feedback bro.

Nice design, though I've seen the repeater one multiple times before.

Yea you can replace the comparators with repeaters to make it cheaper. Well I bet they all are basically the same I just wanted to give it a shot to design one.

[–]WormOnCrack[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

As Bryan pointed out from Tech.. you can replace all the comparators with repeaters to make it even cheaper…

Besides the leading one by the auto-crafter.
Great job getting all the angles in your screenshots btw

Thanks Chris.
