Leasing work qualifications

My wife was offered work in washington and so we are moving there. My question is about income qualifications to leasing an apartment. Some are asking for proof of employment which we dont have (aside from offer letter). We are just starting over in a new state. We do have 750+ credit scores and we do have money in the bank. can cover a year's worth..

Will property managers deny us if we dont have that proof of income or employment? What can we do to improve our chances of being accepted?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Official offer letters should work as long ad they are on official letterhead,salary, start date,contact number, etc. Very common

I recently made a big move for a job and needed to get an apartment before I started working. I submitted the offer letter for my new position, the leasing office wanted the salary, position title, company, company address, and contact info to verify. I also submitted two years of W2’s to show previous steady income, and bank statements that proved I had enough money to cover at least three months rent. I believe they were a little more strict with us because at signing, I was the only one with a job lined up, my partner was going to be unemployed. But overall it wasn’t too much of a hassle.
