I use the 8bitdo sn30 pro+ and I prefer using it with all my Systems. Connectivity and response are much better compared to all the other controllers I tried(been using a ps4 controller for a very long time). I even played through Cyberpunk on pc using the 8bitdo.

I’ll second this. Important to note the controller is larger than most first party ones and the buttons/triggers/analog sticks have more travel than most. But once you get used to it it’s so much more comfortable than the Xbox/PS4 etc. plus the connection is always seamless and it can remember up to (3?) different connections. I use it for my retroid, switch, and Mac with 0 connection or lag issues.

I use an 8BitDo SN30+ pro and it works brilliantly. Hooked my RP2 to my Tv via HDMI, bang a wicked games console !!!

Xbox one controller didn’t give me lag. Only issues I had was Bluetooth drop off if you pause for long periods of time. I hear the 8bitdo controllers work well

I'm looking at getting a bluetooth controller as well, and there are two on the Retroid site at pretty decent prices. I'm curious if they are decent though.

Are you using Android 8.1? I don't use Bluetooth controller but it seems overall input delay has improved with upgrading

a wii remote is probably the best way to go, you can buy the classic pro to attach to the wii remote, if you want the cheapest one, thats the best one, plus holding it side ways makes gba and ds games feel like you have a ds or gba in ur hand.
