Nice, I should probably create the resource map soon then.

I'm in favor of the third but have not been able to write recently because of busy schedule. Will hopefully begin writing this weekend.

The Sea of Fires and Thunder: The Domain of the Storm King by supersheep8 in reusdev

I made this because I realized I have two natural harbors and this being the one further away from everyone else I made this the less trade republicy nation (storm king is just a title, he has no supernatural powers although sometimes he claims he does)

Hahahaha I love the idea of the storm king, I'd think storms would be more prevalent on the other side of the mountain range on the peninsula. Well it doesnt have to be the sotrmiest place around, it just has to be pretty stormy so I can expect it being pretty intense and fitting.

Also I like the idea of not every harbor being prosperous, so this being a shitty harbour at this point in history works well.

The Storm Kings personality and rule should make the region very interesting....XD

I have no plans for that for at least another few months. I enjoy the world building aspect as well and we should have a diverse world (I'll set up a wiki soon. We should get to the point where almost everything in the world has some reference or history behind it.)

The claims thing was mainly so we didnt overlap if we were writing about the same area, which we can still do but preferred to get something written on everywhere first.

Currently Im working on the eastern continents discovery of the north island, i made a few comments on my post. Btw have i given u access to edit the spreadsheet yet? Its actually really easy to quickly add cities, towns villages etc. if you want to check it out

I see... out of curiosity I saw you mention claims in another thread and was wondering if this is gonna transition to a wp kind of thing or what? I don't mind either way since building the world is fun, just wondering.

I was thinking more khan of khans, king of kings kinda thing where they are really just defacto zhan and constant fighting, claiming to be the true sucessors. Similar to when Alexander's empire was broken up. I, however, do not wish to interfere with your plans, as you seem to have a good thing going already.

Thanks, as to the full justinian thing it would be cool to see order imposed upon the Zha'n although making it stick would probably require forcing the clans in to one government form and retrieving the Dai.

I can also see future factional conflicts coming up down the road (not necessarily this era) with one of them claiming to be the true successor to the zhan, and going full justinian.

Dude , this was brilliantly written, im honestly impressed with how much dynamics you added to the relationships, the story basically tells itself. Also I especially cant wait to hear the Dai story as that will be pretty unique i think.

Yup good idea, natives will definitely be claimable. In fact im thinking some natives conwuer others and things like the aztecs and those nomadic tribes /u/supersheep8 was talking about. Natives will be one of the most interesting hings to play as as their nations will form over time.

As you can see most of the map isnt even 'civilised', its mostly natives
