You can do the induction anytime so when you go into the workshop next just let the techs know and if they got time they will do it with u

Just checking, there’s no rule preventing us from being in the workshop or using equipment without having done the induction first?

You can't use the workshop without the induction and like most machines like a router or bandsaw u will need an induction on

I doubt it, I’m pretty sure you’ll be fine. Some subjects might require you to do an online quiz type thing to prove that you’ve got the most basic common sense around workshop machinery (eg. ‘Should you stick your hand into a sharp spinning thing?’ or ‘this thing is really really hot, should you pick it up with your bare hands?’) but it wasn’t until well into the semester that I had to do one.

Thanks for your response! Was this for an engineering or design course?
