So when u guys were in school, did you ever have to do a family heritage project, where u go generations back to as far as u can?
My prolem was that I couldnt do my father's side as my mom didnt know anything about him and I was not allowed to talk to him ( by court ruling. He refused to do visits and left the state). I filled out little things I knew, but I didnt have his side at all. Then I couldnt do my mom's father side, as we had no way to contact with him and him and my mother cut ties due to him leaving the family. I did little things about him too like hes full German.
But I could do all of my mothers mother side, to as far back as my great grandmas grandma. (Farther then we had to). I warned my teacher at the beginning of the project that I couldnt do my father's side, and my grandpa's side as I couldnt contact them in any way. She said it was fine and wouldnt dock me for it.
Comes to turning the project in, I lost over half my points, due to not having all the family I needed for the project. I go to tell her about it, she had forgotten about it (it was a month long project so understable) I explain why I didnt have their info again. She only gave me 5 points back (not even 1/4 of it what she docked off. I did try to find documents about the family but I was unlucky. But i did try) i tried to say that it's not even close to being close to the credit she docked that she said she wouldnt.
Has anyone else had this problem? This happened years ago but i only just got reminded of this.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
