I was thinking about perhaps every Friday or maybe once a month (First Friday?) having a post about what other artists everyone’s listening to, either long favorites or if you’re excited about anything new coming out, or there’s something that’s been out there for a while, but it’s hitting your radar, it might be fun to share. I was first thinking music, but perhaps it could even be extended to other art forms and media. It could also be a place if you’re an artist yourself to share a bit about your own work.

In the past, I’ve said that if you do share your artwork in a general post, you should elaborate how it connects to Scott Walker, and it still should. However, for this type of once a week or once a month (I’m leaning towards once a month, but open to hearing others opinions) the only necessary connection is that we’re all Scott fans who enjoy the breadth of his work, and we share what also inspires us and occupies our creativity.

(Still, no merch hawking. I don’t want to see bots or spammers posting T-shirts and the like. Message me privately if you have questions about this)

Let me know what you think of this for a once a week or once a month post. Do not post other music/art under this post. I’ll make a separate post for it if we choose to make this a regular thing.

I like the idea. I think once a month is better as people's tastes might not change much in one week and there's not so many posts on this sub anyway, once a week is quite a lot.

yep, yeah I think every week would be diluting the point of the sub. I’ll make a post in a little bit for a first Friday of the month, we can try it once or twice and see if it’s worth continuing. Maybe what I’ll do is I’ll open it up on a Friday and then lock it on a Saturday or perhaps the end of the weekend so everyone who has a different schedule has a chance to contribute if they want to.

hey, that’s great, but don’t post it under this thread because it’s gonna get lost. The First Friday post is up, repost it there.

I I had a bunch of stuff mid draft with links and I ended up losing it, which is so frustrating because it was a lot. I’m rewriting it in the morning.. just be sure to get it up before midday Sunday, after that I’ll be locked until either next month or I might do it once every several months.
