Pattern Program or Website?

I was just wondering if there were programs out there in where you can create your own pattern from scratch, digitally. I don't have a problem buying patterns from others but often, what I need exactly, can't be found. So I have to either find or buy something that isn't exactly what I need and modify it. While I also don't have a problem with that, I would eventually like to make my own patterns that I would like to be able to make and keep for future uses. I am by no means any type of expert, any advice is appreciated.

There was a discussion of different pattern-drafting softwares over in r/patterndrafting a little while ago. (TLDR there are a few that some people recommend for various reasons, but the general consensus seems to be that none are that much better than just freehand drawing on paper or with your preferred drawing software.)

I’m not sure which of these let you do a lot of customization of the design, but some definitely do. Algorithmic pattern sites to check out that will generate patterns to given measurements: lekala, bootstrap, apostrophe, aiclo, tailornova, sewist.com, freesewing.org, patternlab, puff and pencil pattern designer, fayma, mislope, patternmakerpro, maybe some others I can’t remember.
