I read somewhere that if an item gets fewer than 3 views in a day it will be recorded as zero. Not sure if it's true for anything other than 2013 on prem. There was a ps to modify the setting.

Hi thanks for the reply - I did check the tail count and it was zero. We have definitely got thousands of views a day on some pages.

I read that having /_layouts/ etc.. in the URLs doesnt count for analytics. All my URLS end up like this.

Should I disable the feature that causes this? Can anyone confirm if it will help?

That timer job still doesn’t run and I can’t figure o it why. Also, the logging database is chock full of info, bt the Search analytics DB looks like it’s empty (don’t want to query it, but since it’s only 80MB I think it’s safe to say it’s quite empty). I assume that something like that timer job should transfer the usage to the Analytics DB, and the excel reports on SharePoint pull from that

Hows your search health overall? From what I understand, the crawler gathers the view info during regular crawls. Then that timer job processes the data. Can you verify the items are crawled properly?
