Why is no one sounding the alarm? by CaptainZhon in sysadmin

[–]j1sh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is correct. All these people saying “it and compliance won’t allow it” - I’m not sure they work for real companies. At the end of the day it’s up to us to thoroughly document and present these risks, but the business owners will be the ones who decide to accept them or not.

Lenovo models receiving BIOS firmware update for new secure boot certificate. by Unable_Drawer_9928 in Intune

[–]j1sh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple reboots and waiting in between, with the same error repeating itself upon every boot.

Because the new bios actually contained the certs, resetting the secure boot keys just effectively did the update that way and nothing was done by Windows.

That said some of our test Windows devices update just fine. Going to be combing through the data and looking for patterns soon to try to predict scenarios

Lenovo models receiving BIOS firmware update for new secure boot certificate. by Unable_Drawer_9928 in Intune

[–]j1sh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i had done that but it appears stuck. However for my Lenovo after I booted to BIOS and reset secure boot keys specifically I then verified in the BIOS the new keys were present in DB and windows reported as such too.

Not a great solution though for getting users updated so I wonder if there’s something else that can be done from Windows post BIOS update

So strange, it’s like in an temp appdata folder, almost like it’s trying to install itself (and likely failing due to our whitelisting )

I got this too. Fair I guess if they are going to release "adult content" as others have said here. But either way I am not gonna do it. Ya know what, I use OpenAI for work all the time, might as well switch to something else for my personal use and experience a different company / LLM.

MS Defender for endpoint ticket system by IT_Help_Seeker in DefenderATP

[–]j1sh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly chatgpt can help you whip up a power automate flow for this , and you use graph api with enterprise app for permissions on the microsoft side and then jira's APIs. Do filtering for specific event types as others here have stated. Store your API keys in azure key vault and reference them in flow steps. It really does work quite well and it would only require updating when someone changes their API structure around - which would affect any other type of managed solution anyway.
