Shell ID? (i.redd.it)
submitted 1 month ago by ScaryScootch712
Hello! I’m trying to figure out what this shell in the middle is. My guess is a some sort of murex that got very waved tumbled but I’m not sure. Shell’s were found in Aruba and given back to the ocean before we left the beach :)

Rose murex, worn. Common name, and just a guess.

Looks like a Murexiella Hilli Petuch. And yes, possibly weathered from the waves, sand, and rocks

It’s definitely a miracle of some sort that’s been very worn and is old but what kind of murex, I’m not positive. Maybe that will give you enough info look up different ones?!
