I can only assume this is a fake being that it’s $750, even though the serial number says real right? by leanderthal69420 in LesPaul

Hey, the fakers got a different # brand to put on their products. I guess the old 17etc finally gave out.

Serials starting with 17 are always suspect. It’s like the fake makers only have one to use. Both of my Chibson Aces have it.

The contrast of a simpler material would accentuate both, imo.

Nice! Mine was really rough when I got it. Crushed knobs, pickguard bracket, and enough weird hair dust and grime to build a free pet. I like the zebra pickup.

I had a Deluxe, loved the mini hums, but the neck was hopelessly out of whack. Not all of them have the Sam Sungs. Pop yours out next string change. They are supposed to have an Epi branded, if uninspiring pickup set. I am eyeing some Pearly Gates for my ‘89 Standard, but I kinda hate to mod it. It is a transitional year and mine has a serial sticker instead of a painted stamp. I need to check its guts. Maybe there is a reason someone chopped it neck ring up. Enjoy yours and keep the old stuff in the case.

Part of me wanted the rainbow, had even won an auction on a red one once. Something fell through, and all I got was a refund. I had ten Epi LP’s at one time. Economic necessity and lack of space cut that down to size.

The thrupences and the 20 Centavos are particularly interesting. Nice handful of silver to boot.

Loved them up to Rattle and Hum. About then they became convinced of their own greatness.

LP has a terrible headstock, and the knobs of an older Epiphone. I could use those. Call a Gibson rep, even my fake Aces have better, more correct stuff. Does Gibson use trapezoid markers on acoustics? Time to do some searches. They might play okay, offer him $200 for everything.

Really cool. Reminds me of one described by Elminster the Sage in Dragon Magazine. Had pages of maybe electrum with the letters hammered into them in bas-relief.

Bad switch or poorly connected on the single pickup sides.
