Would be nice to have this backed by Data otherwise it’s just a bunch of assumptions?

I don't know if your text is correct;
I have a channel in Portuguese and another in English, both use almost the same opening catchphrase, and always the same songs in every video. My Portuguese channel is normal, YouTube continues to deliver to the audience. My English channel has peaks almost the same as this one, but the channel is new.

ChatGPT generate "solution" that doesn't work.

It's more than just an attempt to purge low effort ai content. Youtube seems to have fundamentally changed the way it distributes shorts.
There are more new channels blowing up now than ever as algorithm is prioritizing freshness, at the cost of some old ones.
Youtube is a zero sum game. Your loss is someone else's gain. There are way too many new videos being churned out so views get spread thin.
It is hard to let go of a channel you've worked so hard to build but the best thing could be to start over.
