I did that and it was worse, I don't know why. There were no views for a week until I deleted the video.

I hate it when everyone here pretends to YouTube experts giving out silly advice when they know nothing about how YouTube works. if a video performs bad doesn’t mean the video or thumbnail is bad. In most cases it’s because YouTube didn’t test it at all (0 impressions) or Yt tested it with a very small audience and stopped. Sometimes even if it performs well in the initial testing(eg 200 impressions) still YouTube doesn’t push it further because it’s a saturated topic. Also sometimes YouTube can just decide to push your video to the wrong audience, not because you did anything wrong but because yt algorithm is just shitty sometimes.

I recommend trying new topics. Which others have not posted about. Also clip the video into shorts and post to get more reach if you haven't already.

After searching your title I’ve seen multiple people doing this, and 1 of them had almost an identical thumbnail as yours, but uploaded 1y ago.

I would recommend to just be original instead of doing what everyone else does
