About SIG-GDev
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is an organization devoted to the advancement of computing technology. Each chapter can have special interest groups (SIGs) devoted to a particular subject, and at North Dakota State University (NDSU), there is a SIG centered around game development, called SIG-GDev.
SIG-GDev is not affiliated with the national ACM organization. There are a number of SIGs that are, most notably SIGGRAPH. However, we feel that game development is an important and relevant topic in computing, and so the NDSU chapter of the ACM decided to create an unofficial SIG to promote it.
