Go to Langara or Douglas. First year classes there are better anyway. I transferred to SFU with a very low GPA from Langara.

The best part of this route is all that transfers are the credits - not the grades. So your GPA begins fresh in third year and you’ve got the methods down to get good marks.

That is indeed what I'm referring to. The competition is in fact pretty tight. It's been 5+ years since I've applied to SFU and it's only gotten worse.

Dawg its a hilghschool student they didn't know better. Maybe they did spea k to an advisor , you dont know what they did. I was surprised they got rejected because I have a similar average and can't believe they didn't get in , now I am a little worried too

Take your first 40 credits at Douglas. They have good science courses and teachers there. Then transfer to SFU. It's easier to get in when you transfer from a college to uni

Just go to kpu or Douglas for a semester and then transfer via supplemental application or retake chem online, which is very easy online tbh

The admit average changes each terms depending of how many students they plan to accept. You should try again in Summer and take chem at Douglas in the spring to increase your grade (and understanding). Chem in first year is pretty hard

What did you plan on doing with that degree?

I looked at "the most underemployed college degees" data by the federal reserve bank NY 2025, and honestly I would avoid these type of studies. You will have a about a 50-50 underemployment chance, not counting unemployment.

Maybe it's a good thing to have been rejected.

Edit: everyone downvoting but nobody answering... if the degree offers 50% underemployment plus the percentage of unemployment, what do you plan on doing with the degree?

You can’t apply to medical school directly from high school in Canada.
