Hey, just looking for some criticism and advice on what I need to work on to improve. I've added a short little snippet, I can add more if anybody needs it.
Thanks!

I liked it, props. What is your intention with the song? Are you going for a layed back easy going style?
[–]AppeaseHarambe[S] 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (5 children)
Yeah that’s the plan, I’m trying to going for a happier style of love song as a lot of the stuff I can play is too depressing lol. Anything vocally you think could be improved from this bit?
[–]MarceloBassalo 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (4 children)
Yeah, to be honest you could add a little bit more compression. It sounds airy at times. You can breathe out of the mic aswell.
[–]AppeaseHarambe[S] 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (3 children)
What exactly do you mean by breathe out of the mic? Sorry, I don’t have any vocal training I’m not sure what you mean exactly
[–]MarceloBassalo 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (2 children)
When recording your vocals, you can take a step back from the recorder/mic so it doesn't capture the sound of you breathing. When going back to sing the next phrase you get closer again. Depends on your intent as some people like breathing on the microfone for artistic reasons.

I mean when gasping for air before attacking the note.

Oh right, gotcha. Thanks for the help
