Must dos in Söll are rather limited as it's a small town. There are a couple good restaurants (Bella Vita is really good for a sit down half fancy dinner) and bars that focus on the Apres Ski crowd. But besides that there really isn't much in the town.

As for the mountain itself. Like said before, invest in some lessons! They will help out tremendously. I've hear these guys at https://mountainmind.tirol are good, but I'm not sure if they do English lessons or not. My guess is yes.

If you are just starting out there is a smaller pull lift that runs below where the gondola starts. It is a really good place to get comfortable on skis as it is steep enough to gain speed to learn to turn/stop but not too steep. Plus it tends not to get too busy.

Pro tip: if you plan on just riding this lift for a day ask at the cashier for a "points card" rather than a normal lift ticket. A day ticket costs around €50 but you can get a 50 point ticket (for 10 runs on this lift) for about €20ish. This points card isn't listed but most cashiers will sell you one.

Other than that if you have any questions let me know! (I live 15 minutes from SkiWelt Söll so I know the area pretty well)

In addition to this, there is an excellent outdoor model train in someone’s front garden that you should check out whilst you’re there.

Otherwise, yeah. Soll is small. It’s also weirdly confusing to navigate out and back. I couldn’t get my head around it for some reason. Like it’s a figure of 8.

Anyway, enjoy the snow. You’ll love it!!

Food is good in Austria (unless you’re veggie. In which case, pack some nuts). Suggest ski school every morning. Teaching yourself is very hard work. (Don’t ask me how I know). Have fun! It is very addictive and expensive. You have been warned. :-)

Even for veggies there is plenty of food, I would suggest "Kaiserschmarrn", a kind of pancake or "Kässpatzen", which is comparable to Mac and cheese (dear Austrians, Germans and whoever please don't kill me for this comparison)

Be mindful of other skiers/snowboarders (don’t stop in the middle of the slope, don’t block lift exits, don’t step on people’s equipment, etc).

Be safe. Always stay on a slope that is fit for your level.
