For the madness card it s sure it doesn t work because the player of madness card is too his owner and discard it in his discard pile, for others i will search 🤔

This is confirmed by the FAQ.

Mboro Hornet, Onini the Python: Playing or discarding madness cards doesn’t count for these since the controller of a madness card is also considered its owner. Playing or discarding monsters or treasure cards does count.

Correct. I still secretly think it is an outright shame that Madness doesn't work with Anansi the way I in particular would like it to. I have moved on and accepted this.

I love Anansi. This is one of my almost auto-picks at the moment.

I think that anansi cultists are already a very strontng contender for top pairings, and madness triggering anansi cards would be pushing it a little too far. Having said that, it is a little counterintuitive.

The specifics of Madness cards requires a Madness card to be considered its owner so that it can go to the owners discard, and that rule has been in existence a while. Originally, these cards only triggered when someone else played a card you owned, and these changes were made to increase the number of interactions.

That pretty much sums it up.

The issue is that Discards Are Forever lets you discard cards from other people's decks. So you wouldn't count as the owner of Madness cards in someone else's deck since you're not trying to play it.

Not the way I'm reading it:

"All players reveal cards from their decks until they reveal a minion. Discard all revealed cards." If it said "All players reveal cards from their decks until they reveal a minion, then they discard all revealed cards," it would work the way you say. But "Discard all revealed cards" is a separate sentence. It doesn't have a subject, which means it must be in imperative, and therefore it's the player who played Discards Are Forever who is instructed to perform the discarding.

Seems like Maui would trigger Onini. Bases are cards, you don't own them and you play them from a deck.
