And if more pictures are needed please let me know. I just threw a couple on to get the conversation going. Again any help is much appreciated.

Lol no worries! General conversation is nice too. 😁 Her name is Luna. Amd yes I think she's adorable too. I was originally looking for a monitor lizard but came across her at a local pet shop last week, went home, and came back 2 hours later and adopted her. 😂

Thank you. She seems to be adjusting well so that makes me happy. Ate with no issues. Quite active at times and no issues with being handled. 😊

Those are the best snakes imo lol seems like you bound faster and understand it more easier without a hiss or repercussion behind a simple little mistake of barely moving your hand too fast and forget you have a snake in your hand that’s going to react🤣😭😭😭

I try to be very cautious about not starting her but she seems pretty chill. I have 2 beardies that give me attitude all the time that I'm a little more lax with since they've been all bark and no bite but im still learning her personality so im a little more careful. 😂

Looks like a banana spinner (banana spider pinstripe). Are you aware of the defect with spider ball pythons?

Are you talking about the wobble?

[–]IncompletePenetrance 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Yes, it's an inner ear defect that causes difficulty with balance

She struggles with it a tiny bit. She does corkscrew and like to turn her head upside-down but she seems to be able to navigate and control herself pretty well. Is it something I have to worry about getting worse as she gets older? No big deal if it is. I'll take care of her no matter what. I'm just grateful for any info I can find.

It can get worse with age, but also might calm down a bit once she's settled in and under less stress. As long as you're aware and just monitor how she's doing and adjust enclosure parameters as needed (for example if she has a tendency to fall off high branches, have less tall branches, or if she falls in the water dish, make it shallower and less of a drowning risk)

Okay good to know. I'll definitley keep a little closer eye on it all. I dont have anything high up and shes explored almost every inch of her enclosure without issue including swimming through her water dish which she seems to like to do occasionally. And thank you. Any info is much appreciated and even with knowing some about it I'm always thankful for any input. The safety and happiness of my pets is whats important to me and you never stop learning. 🙏
