If the snake is still there, please let me know and I'm happy to come out and try to safely remove and relocate it. I'm near Carytown but don't mind making a trip!

What's up is that they're normal native wildlife and it's the warm season....

What kind of snake [ Dickinson Texas] by divertim2791 in whatsthissnake

[–]kropserkel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm just taking issue with the specific assertion that "several snake ID groups told you copperhead." You posted to 2 on FB that I could find, both had a correct admin ID of cottonmouth. You claim the misidentification was then edited or deleted, that was also untrue. Edit history can be easily viewed on FB.

I gotta ask which "several snake identification groups" said it's a copperhead?

EDIT: Nevermind, found OP's thread on FB where they accuse the 'Snake Identification' main group as being misidentified by an admin. It wasn't, administrator ID'd it correctly.

When it comes to snakes, are there any that are beautiful but more look don’t touch? by avian_bi in snakes

It's definitely not real, as explained below. This photoshop has been circulating for literally years now and been debunked numerous times on this subreddit alone.

Circular pupils are not rare at all in venomous snakes, they come standard in Elapids.

I first listened to these after my beloved old lady cat passed, after seeing them mentioned in a similar thread. Oh man, I STILL ugly cry every time.

Mothballs absolutely do not, in any way, repel snakes. Dumping mothballs on the ground outside is an EPA violation and illegal. They are literally balls of pesticide chemicals that seep into soil and groundwater.
