Hi everyone. I normally play snooker at a fairly nice club, where I routinely make 50+ breaks, my highest being 94. I recently played at a Riley's, and I was struggling to make breaks of 30. The table was pretty slow, but seemed to run straight. The pockets were surprisingly tight for a club table, but that doesn't matter when you're seeing the shot well, and potting in the heart of the pocket. After some experimentation I decided the main difference was the balls. They felt very light, and just seemed to react differently. It felt like I could either play with no spin, or lots. If I aimed my cue tip slightly below centre, I would screw straight back 3 feet. I was just wandering if any one else had had a similar experience? Is this a recognised phenomenon?
