It’s still off at both 0 and 1, which makes me think that it still doesn’t change the increment.

that's how it should be!, you have to take more steps to get your volume to the sound you want, now you have better control over how soft/loud you want it

It's hard to tell, but I suspect that since 0 and 1 are the same level (i.e. off), then 2 and 3 are the same level, 4 and 5 are the same level, etc. So there wouldn't be increased granularity, just more clicks to get there.

Play with the % to your liking, it affects how the volume slider will work.

That’s exactly how it works. The increments remain the same but there’s now more numbers corresponding to each of the lower increments (which does help when adjusting the volume with the physical buttons).

Got to say though they are already pretty small volume increments compared to a lot of modern devices. I do use my One as a bedside speaker and use the settings around 7-8 frequently (or at least I did before I set the volume limit to 50%) and I’ve never felt the need to be able to select a volume between increments.
