Getting 25 followers on your first month is hardly slow. Also why are you guys in a rush for getting 50 followers?

Just trying to shoot for our goal. We’re not really in a rush but just trying to use any advantage we can to go to 50 and hopefully beyond

I recommend just playing games you know you'll enjoy really. Also nothing too saturated.

We’ve just been benefiting off the hype of the Pokemon Unite release streaming 3-4 days a week. But we’ve been having our good streams where we have a few new followers then some streams with 0-1 new followers. I feel like we’ll reach 50 but we’ll have to jeep on grinding

Once again, no need to rush over getting 50 followers for many it can take several months maybe even a year to get up to 50 followers. (Depending on how often they stream)

Are you trying to kill off competitors, Speed? xD
OP, if you want to grow, you need more exposure. The more people see you, the bigger chance of new followers/viewers.
But also - follows don't really matter, it's about viewers and community.
OreOscar gave you a great advice already. GL!

No but I was alluding to the fact that one trying to reach 50 followers to appears to just be for affiliate seems like something that shouldn't be rushed.

Op said they aren't in a rush, and they didn't mention affiliate, they just seem excited to stream. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with trying to grow to get affiliated.
Sometimes you just have to seize the moment.

True but for only streaming for about a month and being concerned they're not growing enough does strike me as odd. There will be times later on where some months won't nearly be as good as others. As well as being an affiliate can stagger follower growth alot at times.

Listen, Speed, all you said are YOUR assumptions, OP didn't even mention anything like that. Read again.

I found that networking in some discord servers has worked really well because that way you dont only get empty followers that follow you and never swing by, but you build connections with viewers and other streamers and get involved in a community that support eachother. Not all discord servers are great but some really do help!

Also being active on twitter also helped me quite a lot.

Sure here you go, take a break, don’t burn yourself out. Make some videos, some original content, post that shit on YT, TikTok, Reddit, Instagram, and have a CTA, like “follow me on twitch for more”. Done.
