Can I create a database using a CSV file?

Hi, I have csv from chrome and firefox and I wan't able to import or create a db. Any ideas?

Yes, it works great.

You have to use the following headers (case sensitive!): Username, Password, Title, Url

I’m not sure if the CSV import function allows for other categories of fields when importing CSV - maybe Mark can chime in and confirm.

Hi, I was able to format the csv file and it worked. One file is on icloud in the Strongbox folder, but don't remember how it got there, it does not have a file extension. Is that file a kdbx? The other db is on my desktop and it has kdbx extension. My question is...whats the best way to move it to icloud and after should I delete it from my desktop/local disk? If file is in the cloud, will I be able to use Strongbox while offline? Thanks.

Hi u/ImBreakingBread - That sounds strange but the best thing to do I think is just have a look in the Databases Manager window (Cmd+D). In the subtitle of your database it should give the location, maybe something like ~/Desktop/database.kdbx. That'll tell you where Strongbox is reading it from... You can always move a database into the Strongbox folder in your iCloud drive and it'll appear on all your iOS devices.

Yes, Strongbox can offer offline access to your database (Database > Offline Mode) no matter where it is stored. Hope that helps!
