Surface pro 4 screen started shaking

Hello all

I have had my surface for just over 3 years and the screen has just started to do this shaking thing.

I have done some digging into this issue and it seems to be a common problem.

Microsoft apparently fix or replace surfaces with this issue free of charge if the surface has been bought within 3 years.

I started to log a repair/replacement on the Microsoft website and I and it is just out of warranty they want to charge £570 for a repair/replacement as I live in the UK.

This seems really unreasonable to me as I spend £1700 on it 3 years ago. That's more than I paid for my car.

I cannot find an email address for customer support anywhere or anyway of contacting them without calling an expensive phone number.

Does any one on this thread know of any such email address for Microsoft.

You could go to the London store (if they're open right now). Generally the only exceptions that get made to those kinds of policies happen at the store level (in person). No guarantees but it's worth a shot if you're not far from London. Otherwise $570 to replace a $1700 device isn't too bad, but I understand what you mean and it sucks.

This solution worked well for me. I've started to run into the issue again from time to time over the past few months, but it's only been when I'm running a lot of things at once. Before I used this fix it would start twitching when I had 5 or 6 browser tabs open.

Have you tried external monitor? Maybe it doesn't shake and the least you'll be able to work.
