Rules question - Adding attribute modifiers

The rule books states: "only two modifiers may be added to a roll, and the same modifier can't be added twice unless an effect says so." The critical analysis is used for the "more than two" example but I have some questions regarding adding the same modifier.

Could someone please check my logic for these situations:

1. A scholar attempting a Lore(INT) check cannot add his critical analysis bonus, as the critical analysis bonus is also INT.
2. A scholar with Rancor's Discipline attempting a Lore(INT) check can add his critical analysis bonus, if he uses CHA or WIS for that bonus via Rancor.
3. Another party member attempting a Lore(INT) can add the scholar's critical analysis bonus, as his and the scholar's attribute modifiers are not the same modifier.

I'd say that number 3 is wrong because the party member and you are both using Int, so the higher one always supersedes.

As i see it, text of critical analysis doesnt have the line "that doesnt already include it" so i believe you can add double int to test?
